Tallangatta Primary School

Tallangatta Primary School are very proud of their environmental sustainability projects around the school and the curriculum they have developed based around their various environmental projects.

As well as being self-sufficient with both energy and water, Tallangatta have built a kitchen where much of the classes on nutrition are based.  They grow their own vegetables and work closely with the secondary college as part of the Personal Best Program and the elderly citizens on a cooking program which of course includes nutrition, literacy and numeracy and some great civics and citizenship programs.  The personal learning and interpersonal development that has come out of this program has also helped to achieve great outcomes for their students.
